National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and other situations demanding leadership of self and others. This year's weeklong NYLT course is scheduled for June 22-27 at Camp Squanto, and registration is now open! The course will focus on the key concepts of what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW, and what a leader must DO, with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills are taught interactively during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership. If you're interested in learning more or want to reserve a spot for your scout, please follow the link below to our summer course page: https://buff.ly/4bGAFng

#MayflowerCouncil #WednesdayWisdom: “I believe every human has a finite number of heartbeats. I don’t intend to waste any of mine.” Neil Armstrong, #EagleScout, Wapakoneta, Ohio, Troop 14, 1927 - Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon at 2:56 GMT on July 21, 1969. As a Scout, the first merit badge young Neil earned was "Art." The second was "Reading." - More on this famous #Scout here: https://buff.ly/4aFKrVu

#MayflowerCouncil "#SafetyMoment Monday": A recent news item about the uptick in drowning across the country has us wanting all of our Scouters, parents, and volunteers to think very hard about their unit's preparations and policies regarding water safety. Come to think about it, take the guesswork out of it. Review #ScoutingAmerica's Aquatics Safety guidelines and the Guide to Safe Scouting. https://buff.ly/450hxOI
